What we liked
- + 12 named species in one order, including Chinese elm, trident maple, Japanese black pine, blue spruce and wisteria
- + More than 300 seeds in total, so each species can be sown in quantity rather than as a single pinch
- + Listing acknowledges that germination needs differ by species and tells you to prepare each one accordingly
Trade-offs
- - Tropical species such as royal poinciana and desert rose need different care from the hardy maples and pines in the same pack
- - The seed count per species is not broken down, and no pots, soil or tools are included
