What we liked
- + Eight dry quarts (2 gallons) is a generous amount for mixes and top dressing across several pots.
- + Screened to 3/8 by 1/4 inch with minimal fines, per the listing, which keeps the mix open.
- + Listing names bonsai top dressing as a use, and the porous rock improves soil structure and drainage.
Trade-offs
- - Listing is short on bullet detail and the grain is a bit larger than 1/4 inch bonsai lava rock.
- - Some bullet text refers to pumice, so confirm the product is lava rock when it arrives.
