What we liked
- + Trident maple is described as having a classic branching structure that suits traditional bonsai styling
- + Leaves change with the seasons, which gives a beginner something different to watch than an evergreen juniper
- + Grown in Mississippi by Brussel's and described as rewarding for beginners and experienced growers alike
Trade-offs
- - The listing does not state the age or height of the tree, and container color and shape may vary
- - Outdoor tree only, does not ship to Alaska or Hawaii, and ships best when nights stay above 50 F
