What we liked
- + 14 liters is a bulk quantity that covers many small pots or a full repotting season for a shohin collection
- + The title specifies hard Ibaraki akadama from Japan, not a generic clay granule or a blended soil mix
- + The 2 to 3 mm shohin grain suits small pots and fine roots, and can double as a top dressing layer
Trade-offs
- - The grain is finer than the medium size it replaces in this guide, so check the size your trees need before ordering
- - No brand is named and the listing shows a single feature bullet, so there is no detail on sifting or dust content
