What we liked
- + Five species in one box, including wisteria, flame tree, blue jacaranda and pigeon pea according to the listing
- + Extra seed packets are included to improve the chances of success if the first sowing does not sprout
- + Sold as a complete starter kit for beginners, so the recipient does not need to source supplies separately
Trade-offs
- - The feature bullets do not itemize the pots, soil or tools in the box, so check the product photos for exact contents
- - Trees start from seed, and the listing itself notes that sprouting bonsai can be challenging
