What we liked
- + Botanical name is stated, Juniperus procumbens Nana, the standard juniper for bonsai
- + Listed as hardy in USDA zones 4 through 9, so it can live outdoors year round in most states
- + Low price for a live plant makes it cheap material for practicing wiring and pruning
Trade-offs
- - A 2 inch nursery pot means a very young plant with a thin trunk and years of growing ahead
- - No bonsai pot, soil or wire included, and the listing gives no plant height or age
