What we liked
- + Hedge maple is described in the listing as resilient, adaptable and fast-growing, with seasonal color changes
- + Described as easy to care for and suitable for beginners as well as experienced enthusiasts
- + The product page gives a cold limit, saying it thrives outdoors above 20 degrees with protection, which helps plan winter care
Trade-offs
- - No age or height is stated beyond the medium size label, so the maturity of the tree is unclear before it ships
- - Sold as one tree, not a seven-tree forest group like the planting it replaces in this guide
