What we liked
- + Stated specs: 5 years old, 6 to 8 inches tall, in a 6 inch container, so you know the size before it ships
- + Chinese elm has small, toothed oval leaves and bark that turns fissured and corky as the tree matures
- + Arrives potted in a decorative container with soil and care instructions, with 30 days to report a problem
Trade-offs
- - The listing says this elm performs best outdoors, so it is a weaker match for a permanently indoor spot
- - Younger and shorter than the 7-year, 12 to 14 inch elm it replaces, and container color and style are assorted
