What we liked
- + Older 4 year stock offers more branches to choose from when styling
- + DIY kit lets the owner experience the full repotting and shaping process
- + A good middle step between the young and deluxe versions of the kit
Trade-offs
- - Costs more than the younger kit for a tree that is still fairly small
- - Beginners may over-prune a first juniper, which slows its recovery
